Discover Global Development in London
For the second time, the respective International Development Societies of the University of London (LSE, SOAS and UCL) are collaborating to host Europe’s largest student-led conference on international development.
Throughout the first Symposium in February 2020, we critically explored the theme of “Development in the 21st Century?” and examined many of the cutting edge issues that characterise the current development paradigm.
By hosting a wide range of keynote speaker events, discussion panels with world-class intellectuals and development workshops, our goal was to showcase exciting innovations in the field and the multiplicity of ways that students of all backgrounds and disciplines can contribute to international development.
Our core pillars consist of the development of global ideas, empowering participants to challenge stereotypes and to generate an enduring social impact within these educational institutions of best practice and beyond.
